Avant cette période de fêtes, nous avons la chance d’avoir un effectif presque au complet, seule Lauren manque à l’appel. Face aux derniers du championnat nous espérons ramener la victoire, qui semble à notre portée même si Brice Leverdez est présent malgré la course olympique dans laquelle il est impliqué.
Before this holiday season, we are lucky all the players are present, only Lauren is missing. Facing the last team in ranking of the championship, we hope to bring back the victory, which seems possible even if Brice LEVERDEZ is present despite the olympic race he is involved in.
L’équipe que nous choisissons d’aligner est quelque peu inhabituelle, avec notamment Laeticia alignée pour la première fois aux côtés de notre « tête d’affiche » Delphine. De retour d’un mois en Asie, Flavie fera paire avec notre British John et la fratrie Delrue aura l’occasion de faire vibrer les fidèles supporters du club (MERCI BEAUCOUP POUR LE SOUTIEN).
The team we choose to line up is somewhat unusual, including Laeticia lined up for the first time with our « headliner » Delphine. Coming back from a month in Asia, Flavie will pair with our British John and the Delrue siblings will have the opportunity to thrill the loyal supporters of the club (THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT).
La rencontre commence avec les 2 doubles, les filles font le travail en ne laissant aucune chance à leurs adversaires du jour. Fabien et Grégor ont eu besoin d’un premier set d’adaptation avant d’enclencher la machine et l’emporter 21/19 – 21/8.

Viennent ensuite le Simple Homme 1 et le Simple dame 1 où John et Victoria n’aborde pas le match de la même manière. Ultra favorite, Victoria donne comme toujours son maximum et remporte le match en 2 sets. John est lui opposé à la star du badminton français, Brice LEVERDEZ. Sur le papier, le match est déséquilibré et Créteil devrait ouvrir son compteur. Oui mais dans notre sport rien n’est écrit et c’est pour ça qu’on l’aime tant… Notre joueur fait le match parfait avec des attaques foudroyantes et un jeu au filet impeccable qui semble surprendre Brice qui excelle habituelle dans ce domaine. Victoire dont on se souviendra longtemps: 22/20 – 18/21 – 21/18.

Then come the Men Single 1 and the Women Single 1 where John and Victoria do not approach the match the same way. Ultra favorite, Victoria gives as always her maximum and wins the match in 2 sets. John faces the French badminton star Brice LEVERDEZ. According to rankings, the match is unbalanced and Créteil should open its counter. Yes, it should but in our sport nothing is written and that’s why we love it so much… Our player does the perfect match with lightning strikes and flawless net play that seems to surprise Brice, who usually excels in this area. Samson entre en lice face un surprenant adversaire qui impressionne tout le monde par sa capacité à aller chercher tous les volants, Samson ne parvient pas à faire des coups gagnants et Créteil gagne son premier match 23/21 – 18/21 – 21/18.
Laeticia que nous retrouvons bien plus détendue et avec un sourire démonstratif sur le terrain s’impose en 2 sets et apporte le point de la victoire. Journée très encourageante pour notre recrue qui démontre tout son potentiel.

Samson enters the contest against a surprising opponent who impresses everyone with his ability to fetch all the shuttlecocks, Samson fails to make winning shots and Créteil wins its first match 23/21 – 18/21 – 21/18.
Laeticia, who we find much more relaxed and with a demonstrative smile on the court, wins in 2 sets and brings the point of victory. Very encouraging day for our recruit who demonstrates her full potential.

Pour terminer la rencontre, place aux mixtes. Les Delrue réalisent un très bon match et contrôlent de bout en bout, félicitations. Dans le 2ème match, deuxième duel de la journée entre Brice et John, qui a un air de revanche. Les Cristoliens l’emportent en 3 sets face à John et Flavie qui ont toutefois proposé un niveau de jeu prometteur pour les prochaines journées.
To end the meeting, please welcome the Mixed Doubles. The Delrues have a very good game and control from beginning to end, congratulations. In the 2nd match, second duel of the day between Brice and John, which smells like revenge . The players from Créteil win in 3 sets against John and Flavie who however offered a promising level of play for the next meetings.
Nous remportons la rencontre 6/2 et consolidons notre deuxième place dans la course aux playoffs. Il est maintenant temps de se reposer et de profiter de nos proches pendant les fêtes et de revenir en forme le 4 Janvier face au Racing Club de France.
