Pour une première dans le Top 12 à domicile, le gymnase ressemble à un vrai chaudron !
Cela fait plaisir à voir pour la réception du champion de France en titre et vice-champion d’Europe, notre voisin le club de Chambly !
Il faut dire que l’équipe qui s’occupe de l’organisation a fait fort !
En effet, avec l’appui des juges de ligne en formation le matin même pour être présents sur les terrains lors de cette rencontre (10 par terrain), la vidéo en streaming sur Youtube (merci Damien et Dom) et une sono du tonnerre (merci la mairie d’Ézanville), l’habillage de cette salle est superbe ! Il est vrai que de voir 10 juges de ligne par terrain a de la « gueule » et fait très pro.
Bravo à tous pour cette superbe organisation et pour l’image positive que l’on donne à notre sport (en lire plus sur notre article consacré à la formation Juges de Lignes).
For a first time in the TOP 12 at home, the gym looked like a real cauldron! It was nice to see for the reception of the reigning French champion and the vice-champion of Europe, the neighboring club of Chambly! It must be said that the teams that took care of the organization did great! Indeed, with the support of line judges in training the same morning to be present on the court for this meeting (10 per court), the dressing of this room was superb.
Moreover, the meeting was retransmitted on streaming video on YouTube (Thanks Damien and Dom!) and the sound system was just thunder! (Thanks to the town hall of Ezanville!).
It is true that seeing 10 line judges per court looked nice and very professional.
Congratulations to all for this amazing organization and for the positive image that we give to our sport (read more about it in our article about the line judge training).
Avant de passer au résumé, il est important d’avoir quelques éléments de contexte.
Celles et ceux qui étaient présent et ils étaient nombreux, et celles et ceux qui ont regardé à distance en live nos matchs (200 connexions jusqu’en Inde !) ont pu remarquer qu’il nous manquait Delphine Delrue. Effectivement, elle jouait au même moment sa demi-finale du double mixte dans un important tournoi en Hollande.
Nous savions que cette rencontre allait être très compliquée face à l’armada de joueuses et joueurs de grande qualité du club de Chambly, vice-champion d’Europe ! De ce fait, nous devons faire une composition particulière avec la présence de Swann Elia et Juliette Marbeuf sur la feuille de match. C’est une première pour elles ! Seule Swann a finalement joué.
Pour Chambly, il y avait aussi des absents pour les mêmes raisons que Delphine.
Les matchs débutent donc, dans une superbe ambiance.
Nous devons composer une équipe particulière face au multiple champion de France. La rencontre débute par le Simple Homme 1 et le Double Dame.
Yuhan Tan, notre nouvelle recrue ayant participé à deux olympiades pour son pays, la Belgique, n’a pas pu relever le défi contre Eetu Heino. Un premier set très accroché avec des volants de set pour Yuhan mais malheureusement le Finlandais gère mieux cette fin de set pour l’emporter et continuer sur sa lancée au deuxième.

Au même moment, le double dame est très compliqué pour Lauren Meheust et Swann Elia face à Beatriz Corrales et Soraya De Visch Eijbergen, toutes deux évoluant dans le top 100 mondial en simple dames ! Les filles se battent bien. Je trouve le score un peu sévère en rapport à la qualité de jeu de Lauren et Swann sur ce match.

Before going to the summary, it is important to have some contextual elements.
Those who were present, and there were many, and those who watched our games live from distance (200 connections, even in India!) could notice that Delphine Delrue was missing. Indeed, she played at the same time her Mixed Doubles semi-final in a major tournament in Holland. We knew that this meeting was going to be very complicated in front of the armada of players of great quality of the club of Chambly, Vice-Champion of Europe!
As a result, we had to make a special composition with the presence of Swann Elia and Juliette Marbeuf on the scoresheet. It’s a first for them! Only Swann finally played. For Chambly, there were also absentees for the same reasons as Delphine.
The matches began in a superb atmosphere.
We had to compose a particular team against the multiple champion of France. The meeting began with the Single Men 1 and the Double Women.
Yuhan Tan, our new rookie who participated in 2 Olympic Games for his country, Belgium, could not take up the challenge against Eetu Heino. The first set was very tight with several set points for Yuhan but unfortunately the Finnish has better managed this end of set to win and keep going in the second.

At the same time, the Double Women was very complicated for Lauren Meheust and Swann Elia against Beatriz Corrales and Soraya De Visch Eijbergen both evolving in the world top 100 Women Singles! Our girls fought well. I find the score a little severe compared to Lauren and Swann’s quality of play on this game.

Suivent le Double Homme et le Simple Dames 1
Le double homme est aussi à sens unique pour les joueurs de l’Oise, composé de Bastian Kersaudy (70èmemondial) et Quentin Vincent (formé au club). Effectivement, Gregor Dunikowski et Fabien Delrue ne réussissent pas à inverser la vapeur pour s’incliner en 2 sets.
En parallèle, Li lian Yang ne traîne pas contre Beatriz Corrales (35èmemondiale) peut-être émoussée de ses derniers matchs. Li Lian est impériale et ne laisse aucune chance à Beatriz, complètement dépassée par son jeu.
1er point pour nous !
3 à 1 pour Chambly
Débute alors le Simple Homme 2 avec Tanguy Citron et Maxime Lévêque.
L’entrée dans le match pour Tanguy est difficile contre Maxime qui joue crânement sa chance. Maxime remporte logiquement la 1èremanche. Tanguy se ressaisit bien au second set pour l’emporter et aller chercher un troisième set où Maxime craque physiquement.
3 à 2 pour Chambly
Le Simple Dame 2 débute avec notre jeune joueuse Swann Elia encore cadette, face à la joueuse néerlandaise Soraya De Visch Eijbergen (70èmemondiale). Je vais retenir que c’est une belle expérience pour Swann.
4 à 2 pour Chambly
Followed the Double Men and the Single Women 1
The Double Men was also one-way for the players of Chambly which was composed of Bastian Kersaudy (70th in World Rankings) and Quentin Vincent (former player of USEE). Indeed, Gregor Dunikowski and Fabien Delrue failed to turn the tide to wrap in 2 sets.
3 to 1 for Chambly
Then began the Single Men 2 with Tanguy Citron and Maxime Lévêque. The entry into the match for Tanguy was difficult against Maxime who was playing his luck. Maxime won the first heat logically. Tanguy gets well in the second set to win and go to a third set where Maxime cracked physically.
3 to 2 for Chambly
The Single Women 2 started with our young player Swann Elia, still cadet, against the Dutch player Soraya De Visch Eijbergen (70th in World Rankings). I’ll remember that it’s a great experience for Swann.
4 to 2 for Chambly
Dans l’ordre de la rencontre, les deux Doubles Mixtes sont joués en dernier.
Notre double mixte 2 composé de Yuhan Tan et Lauren Meheust est une première pour eux contre la paire expérimentée et spécialiste du double mixte, Lorraine Baumann et Quentin Vincent. Le match est à sens unique pour les camblysiens.
5 à 2 pour Chambly
Reste donc le dernier match, le Double Mixte 1 qui est l’un des plus beaux matchs de la rencontre, opposant pour Chambly Bastian Kersaudy, membre de l’équipe de France, associé à Beatriz Corrales et Li lian Yang avec Fabien Delrue, triple médaillé d’or des récents championnat d’Europe Junior. Nous sommes gâtés par la qualité de jeu fournie par les deux équipes.
Après un premier set très accroché remporté par l’équipe de Chambly, le deuxième set est très similaire mais remporté cette fois par l’USEE. Il faut savoir que de remporter ce match, nous permettrait d’obtenir un point appelé défensif dans le classement général. Malheureusement, les camblysiens sont plus régulier à la fin du troisième set et remportent ce match.

In the order of the match, the two Mixed Doubles are played last.
Our Mixed Double 2 was composed of Yuhan Tan and Lauren Meheust. It was a first for them to play together against the experienced pair and mixed double specialist, Lorraine Baumann and Quentin Vincent. The match was one-way for Chambly.
5 to 2 for Chambly
The last match remaining is the Mixed Double 1 which was one of the most beautiful matches of the meeting against Chambly: Bastien Kersaudy, member of the French team, associated with Beatriz Corrales and Li lian Yang with Fabien Delrue, triple medalist of the recent European Junior Championship. We were spoiled with the quality of play provided by both teams.
After a very strong first set won by Chambly, the second set was identical but this time won by the USEE. You have to know that to win this match would have allowed us to get a point called defensive in the general ranking. Unfortunately, players from Chambly were more regular at the end of the third set. They win this match.
Final result 6 to 2 for Chambly
Pour la deuxième fois en deux journées, nous perdons 6 à 2. C’est frustrant mais l’équipe est soudée et il reste encore 8 journées de championnat. Il peut s’en passer des choses encore ! Nous comptons sur vous pour encourager cette belle équipe pleine d’envie.
Prochain rencontre : déplacement à Mulhouse le 10 novembre.
Je tiens à remercier les jeunes juges de ligne qui ont été brillants durant toute la rencontre ainsi que les formateurs qui sont venus les encadrer, les parents qui sont venus encourager notre équipe.

For the second time in two days, we lose 6 to 2. It’s frustrating but the team is tight and there are 8 championship days to go. So much can happen!
